Cancellation Terms

Cancellation fees depend on how much notice has been given before your arrival date and if we have a chance to resell the cancelled dates.

Cancellations must be made by e-mail to info@worldescape.com and a confirmation of the cancellation will then be sent to you. If you do not receive confirmation, then your cancellation may not have been received. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure receipt of their cancellation.

Cancellation terms in most cases are:

With less than 30 days notice before your arrival date: 100% of the total remaining balance

If the policies for a particular apartment differ from the above, these will be stated on the apartment page

Please note that the booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance.

Shiralee Cottage is an upbeat eclectic holiday house within walking distance of Cairns CBD, the hospital, and the beautiful Cairns Esplanade. Part of a sprawling traditional Queenslander, Shiralee Cottage is like stepping back in time but with the modern comforts of air-conditioning and a kitchen - complete with dishwasher. Whether you are coming to Cairns just to relax, or to explore tropical North Queensland Shiralee Cottage offers a comfortable base.

There are three (3) bedrooms with a fourth (4) bedroom separate from the cottage, available for bookings with more than 5 guests. The cottage has one (1) bathroom, and a roomy living area with a fully equipped kitchen. At the front of the house there is a private under cover dining area to relax and enjoy the tropical Cairns climate. There is a shared laundry with a washing machine and dryer.

Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. The Reef Fleet Terminal is a busy mecca for tourist boats which depart daily and head out to the many dive and snorkel spots on the reef. Also, a must while in Cairns is a visit the iconic Rusty's Market to stock up on local produce and tropical fruits and flowers.
