Cancellation Terms

Cancellation fees depend on how much notice has been given before your arrival date and if we have a chance to resell the cancelled dates.


Cancellations must be made by e-mail to info@worldescape.com and a confirmation of the cancellation will then be sent to you. If you do not receive confirmation, then your cancellation may not have been received. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure receipt of their cancellation.


Cancellation terms in most cases are:


  • With less than 4 days notice before your arrival date: 50% of the total remaining balance

If the policies for a particular apartment differ from the above, these will be stated on the apartment page


Please note that the booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance.

Seaton Cottage is a delightful semi-detached stone built cottage situated in the picturesque village of carlton in coverdale. It comprises of two cottages converted in to two with three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds, one with en-suite master bathroom and two reception rooms and a large newly refurbished kitchen diner. The garden area is a large space with seating and BBQ.

The property has been beautiful decorated throughout and enjoys part double glazed windows, oil fired central heating, one open fireplace and a wood burner,

The property has an interesting history and was originally two cottages that were run as a post office, village shop and a café before being incorporated into one dwelling. The property enjoys a southerly aspect and benefits from a low maintenance enclosed rear garden that enjoys far reaching views up towards Carlton Peat Moor.
The cottage really is a large space with a lovely enclosed garden areas to the rear.
Guest Access:
Guests can access all of the property.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will have full and complete privacy for their full stay. Check in will be self check in by way of a key safe.

The Neighborhood:
Carlton is a delightful dales village located in the heart of Coverdale beautiful views and the Yorkshire dales has some of the best walks in the UK. Its just a short drive from the racing town of Middleham. The village has a great sense of community spirit and benefits from a public house The Foresters Arms which is community owned, and also a garage. The village is only a short drive from the thriving market town of Leyburn which is at the entrance to Wensleydale and has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs .The wensleydale creamy in Hawes made famous by wallace and gromet .
10 min drive is the award winning fish restaurant The Wensleydale Heifer famous for its exquisite food.
The Forbidden Corner is a must see a labyrinth of hidden doors and tunnels set over 4 acres of land full of surprises. Winner of tripadvisor award 2017. There is now a restaurant and bar The saddle room which has been converted from race horse stables. Further down the dale are the market towns of Bedale, Masham. It's is over the hills to the lake district to experience Further to the east the county town of Northallerton is well serviced and benefits from an East Coast mainline station that provides a fast service to London Kings Cross and Edinburgh. The A1M is a 30 minute drive to the east and connects to the commercial centres of the North East
Getting Around:
From Middleham town centre drive up the hill and out onto Middleham Low Moor following the road past the Forbidden Corner until you entre Carlton. Drive past The Foresters Arms 200 yards and you will see the property on the right hand side.
