Cancellation Terms

Cancellation fees depend on how much notice has been given before your arrival date and if we have a chance to resell the cancelled dates.

Cancellations must be made by e-mail to info@worldescape.com and a confirmation of the cancellation will then be sent to you. If you do not receive confirmation, then your cancellation may not have been received. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure receipt of their cancellation.

Cancellation terms in most cases are:

With less than 30 days notice before your arrival date: 100% of the total remaining balance
With less than 90 days notice before your arrival date: 30% of the total remaining balance

If the policies for a particular apartment differ from the above, these will be stated on the apartment page

Please note that the booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance.

Description

The rustic house Sandra with its ground floor apartment is located on the sun-soaked hillside of Alborescia, a district above the Consiglio di Rumo / Gravedona on the western shore of the lake, about 2km from the lake.

Enjoy the garden terrace and the beautiful view across the lake and the magnificent mountain scenery. Due to the special Mediterranean climate in Alborescia there are often wonderfully warm days and evenings in late summer.

The modern new apartment has a well-kept garden-terrace with garden table, chairs, umbrellas and sun loungers and has a stunningly beautiful lake view. The upper part of the house is occupied all year round. The house is situated in a rural environment, with vineyards, fields and other homes.

The separate apartment entrance leads into the elegant and modern bright living-dining area with open kitchen, furnished with sofas, satellite TV and dining table with 6 chairs. The kitchen offers all modern comfort such as dishwasher, oven and sensor lighting above the hob. The living-dining area has a large window overlooking the lake front, which brings lots of light and brightness into the room.

From the living area you can reach the bathroom, with shower, sink and toilet. Separately, there is also a washing machine. There is a double bedroom with wardrobe, and another bedroom (sleeps 4) with bunk beds and a double sofa bed.

Alborescia is a sunny village about 2 km above the Consiglio di Rumo / Gravedona where there are good restaurants and shops and is just 5 minutes away by car.

Gravedona is one of the most beautiful places of the lake. The town Gravedona offers you a beautiful beach with a promenade which goes as far as Dongo, a charming old town with many restaurants and bars and of course all the shops, and sporting facilities including tennis, sailing, windsurfing, motor boating, swimming, etc.

Casa Sandra is also a ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking.

At the lake you can take the passenger speedboat for easy access to many parts of the lake as far as Como and Lecco.
